SWAT4LS Conference

Nov. 30, 2016, 1:58 p.m.

The next SWAT4LS will be held in Amsterdam, NL, 5-8th December 2016, in the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam. The 2016 SWAT4LS conference is a vibrant and well-organised environment that brings together researchers, developers and users, from many fields to discuss goals, current limits and real experiences in the use of Semantic Web technologies in health care and the life sciences.

KRISTINA is glad to take part in the event:  Georgios Meditskos (from CERTH, the Centre for Research & Technologies of Hellas) presents a framework for conversational awareness and conflict resolution in spoken dialogue systems for home care assistance. Conversational awareness is supported through OWL ontologies for capturing conversational modalities, while interpretation and incremental context enrichment is facilitated through Description Logics reasoning. Conflict resolution further assists the interaction with end users, facilitating exception handling and context prioritisation by coupling defeasible logics with medical and profile information.

See you in Amsterdam!
